  1. Lost Trail Pass  -  MT.  Having bartered successfully for Shoshone horses and additional supplies, the Corps left with Toby as their guide on September 2, 1805 to cross another difficult mountain pass.  It was later named "Lost Trail Pass" because bad weather and confusion had caused Toby to lose the trail.
